When it arrived at the studio the oil paint had dried out and begun to flake off the canvas. The canvas also had several tears.

After undertaking surface analysis in the studio we stablised and reconditioned the paintwork, removed the yellowed varnish, re-lined the torn canvas, surface cleaned and restored the paintwork. Once this was completed we applied a coat of new varnish.
