Andrea Hayes

Andrea Hayes is a textile artist based in Cookstown, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. She graduated from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin where she specialised in embroidered textiles. She has a particularly distinctive style utilising a combination of fabric, metal, painting and stitching to portray the Irish Landscape with its beautiful and dramatic mountains, coastlines and landscapes.

The processes and techniques used have been developed throughout Andrea’s career and her unique approach has produced this signature style. These pieces are showcased in selected exhibitions and are often produced as private commission pieces. Alongside being a full time artist Andrea also teaches Arts and Crafts with South West Collage where she does workshops within the local community including school groups, online workshops and community groups.
